These windows have sashes that slide horizontally. Single sliders have one fixed sash and a screen on one half of the window. They can be ordered to operate from the left or the right side. The left side, viewed from the outside, is the standard operational method. Double sliders have two movable sashes and usually a full screen allowing for ventilation from either or both sides at once. Two sashes that remove for cleaning or sashes that tilt in to clean, allowing large or heavy sashes to be easily cleaned. The screen of these windows is on the exterior.
